ALGENY will be screening at the Alabama Jazz Hall of Fame for Black History Month. The screening will take place Thursday Feb. 28, 7:00pm at the Carver Theatre 1631 4th Ave. N. Birmingham, Alabama.

ALGENY: The Genetic Factor will be screening at this years Pan African Film & Arts Festival in Los Angeles, C.A. The screening will take place at the AMC Magic Johnson Crenshaw 15 Theatre.

ALGENY has been officially selected to be the opening night film at the 2008 San Diego Black Film Festival. The festival will be taking place Jan. 31 - Feb. 3rd. The film will be shown at the Regal United Artists Theatre Horton Plaza 14, located at 4th & E Street in downtown San Diego, California.

November 16th, 2007 Newark, N.J. at the historical Robert Treat Hotel Andrew Burroughs was honored by Odyssey International with their prestigious Entrepreneur Award. He was presented with this award for his contribution in the film industry. “This award is truly an honor and a surprise.” Burroughs said. “As a filmmaker you just want your work to be seen, the last thing you’re thinking about is winning an award. Alright, maybe an Oscar!”

This past weekend ALGENY had it’s L.A. Premier at the 2007 American Black Film Festival. The screenings took place Thursday, Oct.25th and Saturday, Oct. 27th at the Mann Theatres - Beverly Center 13 Cinemas. The turn out and feedback that we recieved was phenomenal. The audience really had some strong opinions about some of the topics and ideas that ALGENY tackles. It was definitely a great experience.

This past weekend Algeny: The Genetic Factor written, directed, and produced by Andrew Burroughs was awarded HBO’s Best Feature Film Award during the 5th annual Martha’s Vineyard African American Film Festival award ceremony.
